"Stephen worked on our restaurant's interior design some five years ago. The space is as beautiful today as it was when we first opened. Creating a bright and modern space in a business that has been established for nearly 90 years was, I’m sure, a challenging prospect.

From the very beginning, however, Stephen’s concept stole our hearts and we have never looked back. His attention to detail was second to none, he was a pleasure to work with and no stone was left unturned. We could not have been happier with the result.  We hope to work with Stephen again in the future and cannot recommend him enough."

"Through the whole process, from our first consultation to the completion of the drawings and throughout the building phase,  Steve was a pleasure to work with. He spoke our language and understood our needs. He also spoke the language of the builder and so ensured our needs were clearly understood and met. He managed the full project end to end, even validating the invoices before we met the stage payments. We were valued customers. The end result was not just successful internal renovations and an extension, it was the solid foundation for a significant improvement in our quality of life!  We now enjoy an expanded family space and a garden room full of light. Thank you Steve."

"I'm on my third project with Stephen, and he never ceases to amaze me with his approach and creativity. He initially designed our office (One Page CRM), prompting those who visited to remark that we had "the coolest office in Galway".  I then got him involved in The PorterShed, to which he had the original vision to open everything up to it's bare structure, exposing the beams and restoring the beauty of the building.

More recently Stephen has designed our new self-build home, which has become a real head-turner! While design is important, Stephen's best quality is his sensitivity to your needs, making him a pleasure to work with. With Stephen, it's not about him, it's about you."

Michael FitzGerald, OnePageCRM, Galway

"My business partner and I (Conor Lynam) were interested in working with Steven on the strength of his design in our contemporaries premises, namely Kai Cafe, McCambridge's and Coffeewerk and Press. Not knowing Stephen personally we sat down for a preliminary meeting. From this brief initial introduction we knew we had our man. His knowledge, passion and style were evident immediately. During the following meetings Stephen brought us through the concept, listened to and respected our ideas, and carefully folded them into his. I have to say, he made it a very enjoyable process."

"Once the build began, Stephen was with us every step of the way, from paper to plaster. Every tile, fitting and function was discussed. Every issue and decision was given careful consideration and the proof is in the pudding. The Universal is far beyond what we dreamt it would be!  Stylish, unique and functional. While Stephen drove the design we feel he really wanted to respect our vision, and succeeded with a space that is both us and him. He was always available for a call, and was on site, it seemed, as often as I was. He'll be the first person I call when I'm ready to do it all over again, Fact !"

Jack Considine, The Universal, Galway

"Stephen helped us with our cottage renovation and extension and we were very happy with how it went. While we knew what we wanted to get from the extended area, his final design really worked to tick all those boxes internally, while working great against the character of the original building externally. We found Stephen to have a strong attention to detail throughout the initial drawings, contract creation and management of the contractor throughout the build itself.  Good guy to work with."

"There is a certain feel to the place" that is what 95% of people who eat at Kai will tell us. When Kai began, the building was a florist. Together with Stephen we have created a place where the light is always just right, no matter what time of day, it feels like a place you have been before but it could be your first visit. There is a warmth throughout the entire building that has been created by Stephen and his concept and idea of how Kai, the interior should be. The interior lends to the food and vice versa. The mixture of woods, dressers, that reclaimed wooden counter top, a corrugated steel frame and of course jars and pots of fermenting vegetables throughout makes the dining room feel more like a larder than anything else."
